Day 1 – MONTSEGUR CASTLE – NIAUX’S PREHISTORIC CAVES (43 miles)
Montségur castle, the famous cathars’ old stronghold. Guided tour inside the Niaux’s caves, filled with rock paintings. Dinner. Night’s lodging.

 Day 2 – FOIX – SAINT-LIZIER (62 miles)
Guided tour of Foix’s medieval castle, former home of the legendary Gaston Fébus. We will go visit the Saint-Lizier « bastide », one of the Romanesque era’s true masterpiece. Dinner. Night’s lodging.

 Day 3 – SAINT-BERTRAND DE COMMINGES – PIC DU MIDI (100 miles)
Guided tour of the world-famous Saint-Bertrand de Comminges’ cathedral, where History merges with legends. Then, we will go deeper into the Pyrenees, with the visit the Pic du Midi de Bigorre’s observatory.  Dinner. Night’s lodging in Lourdes.

 Day 4 – LOURDES – CAUTERETS – PONT D’ESPAGNE (43 miles)
Guided tour of Lourdes, city dedicated to the Holy Virgin. In the afternoon, we will take a closer look at the Pyrenees, walking around the Cauterets and Pont-d’Espagne sites with our guide. Dinner. Night’s  lodging in Gavarnie.

 Day 5 – THE GAVARNIE CIRQUE (7 miles)
On this last day, we shall  unveil the Pyrenees’ most iconic scenic view: the Gavarnie cirque. We will take a walk around the beautiful trails of this well-preserved part of the mountains.  Back to your starting point in the evening.

Day 1 – ROQUEFORT – VIADUC DE MILLAU (68 miles)
Discover, the famous caves of Grands Causses » … Guided tour of Roquefort and its caves, a true culinary landmark, where the most famous french blue-cheese is hand-made. In the afternoon, we shall discover the outstanding Viaduc de Millau, suspended at 1000 ft over the valley. Dinner . Night’s lodging.

Day 2 – PADIRAC – ROCAMADOUR (81 miles)
In Causse du Quercy Park, dive into the abyss of Padirac, with its multiple subterreanean galleries. Then climb on to Rocamadour, nicknamed « the citadel of faith», and its numerous medieval buildings. Dinner. Night’s lodging.

Day 3 – VALLEE DU LOT – SAINT-CIRQ LAPOPIE (50 miles)
Cruise on the Lot river, near Saint-Cirq Lapopie. Guided tour of the village, regarded and regularly voted as one of France’s most beautiful. Back to your starting point in the evening.

Day 1 – CONQUES – FIGEAC (100 miles)
Guided tour of Conques and the St.Foy abbey church, masterpiece of the Romanesque era.  In the afternoon, we will get on board of Figeac’s little train, to discover this city of Art and History in an original way. Dinner. Night’s lodging.

Day 2 – SAINT-CIRQ LAPOPIE – CAHORS (50 miles)
Guided tour of Saint-Cirq Lapopie, regarded and regularly voted as one of the most beautiful in France. Cruise on the Lot river, near the medieval city of Cahors. Dinner and night’s lodging in Cahors.

Day 3 – MOISSAC – TOULOUSE (112 miles)
Guided tour of Moissac, to admire Saint-Pierre abbey church and its magnificent cloister, one of the most well-preserved in Europe. Toulouse, the « Pink City », with its typical viola flavour. Guided tour of the iconic city centre. Dinner. Night’s lodging.

 Day 4 – AUCH – FLARAN (75 miles)
Sightseeing in Auch, home of D’artagnan and the Three Musqueteers, and guided tour of the city’s cathedral. Then, we will go deep down into the « French Tuscany », to visit Flaran’s abbey church, still standing after 9 centuries. Back to your starting point in the evening.
